The Log Cabin

    The Log Cabin

    Sleeps up to 9 people

    Year Round Rental 


    This is the Log Cabin. It is the oldest and most historic building on the property. It has 2 bedrooms upstairs. One has 2 full size beds and 1 twin, and the other has 2 twin beds,  plus a pull out (full size) couch. It has a full kitchen and bath with all the amenities. There is a library of books and board games, and a piano. Plus, a beautiful picture window view of the lake and a push button gas fireplace!


     This Cabin is a “Housekeeping Cabin”

    This means that if you stay for more than a day you will have to do some cleaning yourself, we do not come in and clean until you leave. Follow instructions posted on refrigerator for general housekeeping during your stay. 

    Upon leaving we do expect all garbage to be removed from cabin and put into provided dumpster, sweep floors, clean and put away dirty dishes, empty refrigerator & freezer of all food, and pull sheets from used beds.


    Guest access:

    Guest have access to the whole grounds. 

    There is a canoe & paddle boat for guest use.

    The Fire pit  is shared with the Chicken House Cabin.

    A wood shed of campfire wood provided free of charge.

    Grill

    There are several nature trails available: Winter months they are groomed for skiing & snow shoes. 




    Other things to note:

    There are five cabins on the grounds so there may be others staying at the same time in other cabins.

    In the winter seasons there may be some dust due to the circulation of furnace throughout basement and the windows staying shut.

    House Rules

    No smoking

    No firearms

    No motorized vehicles on grass or trails

    Check-in:  anytime after 3PM

    Check out: by 11AM


    Cancelation Policy

    Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days  check in.


    Pets allowed

    Dogs must be leashed, cleaned up after inside and outside, never on the furniture or beds, preferably kenneled at night, and never left home alone in the cabin.


    Wi-Fi

    We do have wireless service that working travelers can log into.

    Password given upon request.  

    Although remember the point is to get away from it all.
